With the GOP convention behind us, what are your biggest takeaways? For those who’ve been slow to embrace Romney, did he finally close the deal?

Who were the biggest stars to emerge from Tampa? Which single speech or moment will you remember?

If Romney/Ryan lose in November, who’s the GOP frontrunner in 2016?

GOP are not giving the Dems any more ammunition till the debates & it’s driving them crazy!

Eastwood was a great sorbet between some real main courses!I thought the Eastwood thing was great!

But, we had many “greats” who articulated what we conservatives believe. Most of all, we had Ryan who has a record we like give an awesome account of his beliefs and then Romney who gave us more reason to believe in him as #1.

I have grown to like Romney, even more with the selection of Ryan. I have not been this excited about a ticket since Reagan was on it. I have given money. I will give more. I have volunteered to man our headquarters here and I will do more. I believe in these two and I believe this is our last chance to save our America.

(Looking at the comments) I take it someone has purchased PD.

By the way, when did Romney develop the fake accent? Is that a new thing?

Yes, it took me over 4 years to become a Romney supporter, and though my vote for Republican was already secure, I finally like the Romney family.
I believe that Ryan is a good choice for VP, and that he will aggressively pursue conservative issues, but his convention speech itself was short on substance.
Rick Santorum’s speech made me question why I even voted for him in the primary.

I liked the speeches by Scott Walker and Marco Rubio.

But the best 4 minutes of the convention was a speech made by Mia Love. I hope she becomes a star for the Republican party.

Eastwood stole the show and overshadowed a pretty good speech by Romney… that will be THE event that transcends the convention for better or worse (Clint’s Improv)

Biggest take away? We have a lot of good up and comers in the mix.

Biggest stars? Clint, Rubio, Ryan with Clint’s being the best.

Frontrunner for 2016? Ryan, West or Rubio.

I liked Mia Love & Rand Paul. I enjoyed Clint’s subtle shots at the GOP while the audience applauded him because they didn’t realize it. I enjoyed the revolt by the Nevada delegation and how petty the GOP establishment looked in those moments.
