Unemployment is up again for July, at 8.3%, as the normally economically strong summers months continue to flounder. While 163,000 jobs were added, according to employer surveys, 195,000 jobs were lost. Additionally, including those who have given up seeking employment and those who are working part time because they can’t find full time work continues in the 14-16% range (also know as the U-6 number). With all of these grim numbers, what can pull the US out of this economic rut?

Bad news usually is released on Friday, especially when other bad news is filling the headlines. What other bad news do you predict will be released this weekend?

I have to say that Romney hit out of the park in his interview on CNN’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley.

    Here is a tidbit:

“The great majority of small businesses pay taxes at the individual rate so as he raises these taxes “on the wealthy” he is raising taxes on small business. That kills jobs.

If your priority in this country is to punish success vote for President Obama; if you priority is to create more success and more jobs vote for me.”

Excellent article about Romney’s VP choices.
(Yes, another one…but the upcoming choice of VP is still the most interesting non-chicken topic in politics right now.)

Author makes a very compelling case for either Rubio or Ryan.

I am all for Vice-President Ryan.  It’s time we played Patriot Games.

      Get it?  Huh? Didja?

Well, now, Mr. Clint Eastwood, famous for his Chrysler Super Bowl commercial which seemed to praise Oblama, has now come out for Romney. Has Squintin’ Clint had a change of heart, or have things gotten so bad that even Hollywood is calling out the POTUS.   We know Oprah has throttled back, but then her big support for her favorite AA has cost her a few hundred million. Anybody got Bab’s number? Let’s see what she thinks now.

P.S. To Guru:  Thank you for calling out BrianH on sullying the good reputation of the Eagles and Stones by even using their names in reference to Oblama!  Pure blasfamy!

Clint has been a liberal in conservative clothing for decades. It’s only suiting that he backs a neocon (a liberal in conservative clothing).

Obama’s “Summer of Recovery Tour” is like the endless “Farewell Tour” The Eagles, the Rolling Stones, and the many other old and tired bands where every year we get to see the same tour roll through town playing the same old songs adding nothing new.

Obama’s set list is the same old tired set list played by Democrats for 40 years. Their set list has nothing new in the mix but rehashes such classic time tested tunes like “Tax Cuts for the Rich”, “You’re a Racist”, “Tax and Spend”, and the great show-ender hit “More Government Spending”.

Ne need to work on new material, folks. Obama can tour the nation convincing the masses of Democrats, and even a few Independents, that the classic set list is worthy of another tour stop.

The good news is the “Summer of Recovery Tour, 2012″ has added a nice opening act to their show that will nicely set up the Obama headliner to Barack the House!

How dast you compare the Eagles and the Stones to Oblama?!  Them’s fightin’ words!!

Their tours are different in oh so many ways:

      1.  Unlike Obama, they built their band themselves.  Somebody else didn’t do it.
      2.  Unlike Obama, they know how to turn a tidy profit.
      3.  Unlike Obama, people voluntarily turn their hard-earned money over to them.
      4.  Unlike Obama, they are experienced and successful in their chosen field.
      5.  Unlike Obama, people are still excited to hear them on stage.
      6.  Unlike Obama, they don’t need a teleprompter to remind them what to sing.
(Well, maybe Keith Richards does, but he’s got a lot more years of experience in the “Choom Gang” than Obama does.)

I could go on and on…

Uh-oh!  Somebody forgot to lock the door and Bush snuck back into the “Economy Control
Room” and is at it again.  That W!  Businesses only claim to be not hiring due to the
uncertainties of Obamacare and over-taxation and general fear about the future, but
we all know ezackly who to blame cause Mr. Oblama hisself has told us… ad nauseum,
and then again and then some mo’.

Well, the only silver lining to this report is that it might wake some sleepers up.  But, I
don’t know how anybody could still be sleeping through this nightmare!
