All eyes are on Texas tonight and the Senate runoff between establishment pick Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and former Solicitor General and Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz. What’s your prediction?

You’ve probably read a 100 stories about the election being 100 days away. But if you didn’t catch James Taranto’s, you missed one of the best. Read why he thinks “Obama supporters suffer a crisis of confidence.”

Finally, Romney is out with a new ad that’s a bit warmer and fuzzier than the hard hitting spots they’ve mostly run. Is this a temporary pivot or a signal of a new strategy?

    Ted in a landslide

So, Ted Cruzes to victory.  I hope he does not think we are all excited about it – including
another Tea Party primary winner: me.  He and I both beat RINOs.  There were more votes
AGAINST our opponents than there were votes enthusiastically FOR either of us.

Ted has a bunch to prove and the Tea Party faithful will be watching.  I am in the same boat.
Many of my closest friends and supporters would not hesitate to turn on me if I do not make
a real difference in the way government does business in this county.  My constituents’
loyalty is mostly to our Tea Party mission, not to me.  I sincerely hope Ted Cruz understands
    that, too!!!

I for one am glad it is almost over. I look so forward to seeing the day where I can watch a news story online without having to first sit through another Ted Cruz ad. I hope the guy wins but my goodness his ads slamming Dewhurst are everywhere.

It’s funny you say that because my mom asked me if Cruz had given up because all she saw was Dewhurst ads.

Well, we seem to have a choice here in Texas of RINO vs. SCUMO,
That’s Dewhurst vs. a lawyer of dark and checkered past.
I pinched my nose til it was bright red as I for the
Tea Party supported lawyer named Cruz, my vote cast.

Like a choice between an IRS audit and a major “root canal”,
How miserable, how vulgar, how distasteful can one vote be?
To have such a choice for such an important position is
Insult to The Great State of Texas, sure seems to me!
