Lightning struck twice in Colorado last night, as a 24-year-old man entered a packed midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises”, threw a smoke bomb, and then started shooting randomly into the crowd. Twelve people were killed and dozens of others were injured at the Aurora theater, which is a suburb of Denver and located just 13 miles from Littleton, the site of the 1999 Columbine massacre.

One has to wonder how long it will take for this sad event to get politicized, as we sit in the looming shadow of a presidential campaign.

Speaking of the campaign, polling numbers in the wake of the continued poor economic news and a round of Bain-themed attack ads are not a welcome site to the White House.

Oh yah, still no Veep announcement, but it is coming soon!

A good story from Daily Caller about Obama’s campaign finances.
    http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/21/obama-effort-spends-more-in-june-than-it-takes-in/

It became fodder during the primary campaign to attack Romney for his campaign’s ability to outspend and out raise his opposition. That argument always perplexed me, as many things do, because the ability to raise funds and run a general election campaign are a most important part of the process to win in November. Instead of praising Romney’s ability to out raise and out spend his opposition many of his opponents and their supporters  attempted to spin this as a negative. I wonder how many people still view Mitt’s campaign organization and ability to raise money is a detriment.

Just another of the many reminders why Romney was clearly the best choice for Republicans in the primaries. How long ago those days now seem but in fact it was not too long ago when people were making predictions and proclamations that the GOP primary winner would not be decided until the convention. It is almost funny to think about that now.

I don’t think the media should cover these things, other to make an announcement and give a periodic update.  All these idiots want is fame.

MSNBC all day has only had two revolving panels vs the usual seven.  Both was about the shooting, ignoring any other major news of the day.  It makes one wonder what propping up this story covered up.

It is a sad tragedy. I know people on the left that have already began talking and tweeting how this is a call for gun control laws, disregarding the probably 100 gun laws this man already violated. Just last week we saw an example of what one 71 year old armed man could do if he is able to protect himself and his property. Perhaps if one person had been armed in that theater they might have been able to reduce the carnage. It is sad that innocent people are to be left to the whims of the crazies and the criminals.

On Good Morning America, ABC News’ Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos tried to say that this Jim Holmes was a Tea Party member.  They will try anything to take this movement down.

There is a registered sex offender in the Houston area named Brian Ross. I assume they are one in the same. There is also a big bushy elephant that lives on Sesame Street named Stephanopoulos, I also assume they too are one in the same.
