Rasmussen has the numbers in North Carolina:

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the Tar Heel State shows the putative Republican nominee earning 51% of the vote to Obama’s 43%. Two percent (2%) like some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided.

Wowzer! Is this all hype? Or the formation of a trend? Is this blowback aimed at America’s first gay president? And this is the state the National Democratic party picked for their convention – at least for now.

You shouldn’t use the term “blowback” on this site. Pro-war republicans don’t believe it exists.

I think Stephen was seeing who would take a swing at the off-speed pitch lobbed over the heart of the plate by using “blowback” and “gay president” in the same sentence.

I, for one, am far to mature to stoop to that level of comedic thought.

Yep, I won’t even mention it.

        C’mon, it’s not like I said it was a brokeback blow-back

          Brokeback White House?

          Brokeback White House?

This is very exciting!  However, I’m not ready to let myself get my hopes up.

Ah, c’mon…its good to finally have a chance to be hopeful about something in this election cycle!

Couple this trend in presidential polling with the very likely possibility that Mourdock will replace Lugar in Indiana, and Fischer just beat the establishment GOP candidate in Nebraska (to replace Ben Nelson)…I’m very pleased.
(at least, as much as I can be given the circumstances)

         Guru,

I am feeling better about everything than I have in a long time.  No time to relax, no time to gloat, but I think we are on a great trend-line and I am in step and steppin’ out!

Excuse me.  Is saying “Is this blowback…” really appropriate?  Actually, I like it!  And, I like that Obomb seems to be taking it in the shorts in NC.  51% to 43%??? That’s a spanking!

As Obomb continues his attempts to reconstruct his liberal coalition, Romney keeps hammering the economy.  Now, today, Franciscan University, a Catholic college in Ohio, says it is ending its
student health insurance program over increased costs associated with
ObamaCare — which will cause school’s basic $600 policy to double — and
the controversial contraceptive mandate.   Ooooooooooh, I just love it when they talk like that!!!! This gives OBomb more bad press in swing state Ohio and reminds Catholics everywhere of why they should not support him.

Of course, we lament the loss of the pouting Paulites as they assume a fetal position in a fantasized “scorched earth”, but looks like life will go on and our side moves up in a controlled ascent.

Agreed. Keep Romney on message about the economy, economy, economy. This could be a tsunami by September.

Don’t fall for “SideShow Barack’s” clown act. (I’m envisioning Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons with Barack instead of Kelsey Grammer’s voice).
