Newt’s PAC has released their Romney hit piece: “When Mitt Romney Came To Town.” Will it be Armageddon? Or is this just more political back in forth?

Romney supporters won’t like this ad but it is very powerful and effective.

It’s not just Romney supporters that don’t like it…

I agree it’s politically well done, but time will tell how effective it is. The blowback has been pretty intense.

Sounds like a large amount of the content of this movie has nothing to do with Romney’s time at Bain.  So, how many pinocchios with the WaPo give this one?

I’ll bet upwards of 10 and can’t wait to see their assessment…

Apart from what this film says about Newt, what does it tell you about Mitt? How do you judge the content? Is Romney the one you would like to assemble behind and does he have the moral legitimicy to be your president in the light of the content of this film?

Considering some of the content is erroneous and/or irrelevant to Mitt’s management at Bain,

      see http://finance.fortune.cnn.com/2012/01/12/the-bain-bomb-fizzles/),

I question the whole film in its ability to be a “documentary.”  I know many that worked under Mitt on the Olympics (and know the person that ratted out the SLCOC corruption) and have heard only high praises at his leadership and moral legitimacy.

Me too.  (know folks who worked with romney in the Olympics that is)

I know Newt likes to make movies, but this is ridiculous.

First of all, how many non-political junkies are going to sit down and watch a 30-minute video?  If you can’t understand where you’re going with it in the first few seconds, you just wasted your money.

Second, no one that believes this load of *BS can say they believe in the free market.  Personally, I will use this as a litmus test to narrow down the field of people for which I’m willing to vote.

Third, it just disgusts me…. and I don’t even like Romney.

At this point, newt is showing more and more that he is simply a right wing progressive.  He idolizes teddy roosevelt who was a progressive.  How anyone can claim to be a conservative and vote for newt is beyond me.  If newt wins the primary, our choice in the general is a left wing big government progressive professor who talks down to people vs a right wing big government progressive professor who talks down to people.  If the GOP supports newt after his recent idiocy…oh well i shouldnt be surprised i guess.

Has Newt teamed up with Occupy Wall Street?

I can’t see for a single minute how any Gingrich/Perry/Santorum supporter could be in favor of these men for the Liberal/far-left wing/media/Obama style attacks on Romney/entrepreneurship/venture capitalism that is being waged!  Liberals and Michael Moore are now loving these men as converts to their cause in this moment! And for the far-left style attacks on Romney’s abortion record – FACTS remain that while governor, Romney tried to keep abortion out of RomneyCare as he was clearly against abortion due to converting to the pro-life cause – it was the MA Supreme Court that kept it in as part of their State Constitution thereby overriding Romney, and Mitt had no control over it!  Funny how Gingrich fails to mention this?  I have now no respect for these 3 men to be POTUS!
    .
Isn’t it amazing that some of the staunchest pro-life people, organizations, and family-rights activists are coming out in favor of Romney knowing his pro-life record – while Gingrich resorts to lower-than-dirt smear tactics?  Also amazing how he “flip-flopped” from a positive campaign to a lying/negative campaign!

I’m fine with Romney taking his medicine from Super PAC’s, but this line of attacks is shameful from conservatives. Write it down, Newt will regret this populist “Fight the man!” approach, if he doesn’t already.

It’s funny that everyone hits Romney for flip-flopping, and lately Newt and Perry are trading in their years of free-market capitalism support for a moveon-org style campaign.

I guess that’s what happens when your desperation is high and your polling is low.

How do you like Paul now?

Same as yesterday. And the day before. And four years ago. And in 1892 during his first campaign :)
