Mitt Romney is the clear leader coming off his unexpected Iowa win. His numbers will likely improve further when he sweeps New Hampshire, as expected.

Rick Santorum’s momentum in recent polling data has skyrocketed him into a strong second position. However, he seems to be the latest Anybody But Romney flavor of the month. The questions for Santorum yet to be understood are: Is he peaking at the right time? Does he have the fundraising capability to sustain his campaign? Can he build a infrastructure of staff in time to support a topi-tier candidacy?

Newt Gingrich’s trend looks much like Herman Cain and Rick Perry before him. Ron Paul’s numbers continue to grow, but he still cannot break 15 percent. Rick Perry is consistently bad and Jon Huntsman moves up into sixth place . . . by default.
