Last night she talked about being the candidate to defeat Barack Obama.

Today, she’s out.

Michele Bachmann will “suspend her campaign” and effectively end her run at the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination.

It was just a few short months ago that Bachmann won the Ames Straw poll and was the first of the “Anti-Romney” candidates to surge. That surge ended abruptly when Texas Governor Rick Perry, who may be the next to bail out, entered the race.
