Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are beginning to go directly after each other, rather than focusing on President Obama. This is a shift in strategy for both of them, especially for Romney, signifying their perception that this is likely a two horse race, save some unexpected results in the early primaries. On another note, often when businesses are entrenched, they look to government to pass regulations that increase entry cost, thereby making it more difficult for new competition to enter the marketplace. Regulations laid upon street vendors versus brick and motor vendors is a good example of this. This is yet another example of government slowing down business growth and wealth creation. Finally, my favorite “slide” I use at the beginning of a presentation when I am launching a new project at my day job.
