A new Rasmussen Reports poll, one of the polls included in the Political Derby Composite formula, was released earlier today. It is the first completed since the Herman Cain sexual harassment scandal broke. The poll reports Cain in the lead, but only by 3 percent, which is within the margin of error, meaning Cain is statistically tied with Romney. However, as a single poll could be an outlier, it will not by itself dictate the outcome of the Political Derby Composite formula. Presently, the Composite continues to show a 4.67 point lead for Cain.

Also of note, New Gingrich has overtaken Rick Perry for third in the Composite Poll. This is Perry’s second consecutive poll performance at less than 10%.
