This could actually be cathartic for Democrats. They’re getting ripped in the headlines, trashed at town halls, sized up for drawing and quartering by their constituents. They could expend all their anger and fear on this guy’s career destruction – and the R’s and conservatives would do nothing to expend an ounce of energy, money, or time to defend him. That could actually be a win, win. Dems get a release, Repubs move on with their tidal wave take-back of Congress & the WH.

At least Spitzer had the decency to quit, which was about the only decent thing he did.
