Oh king of kings and lord of lords,
please hear the prayer of your humble and faithful servant.
Be merciful and forgive me for my transgressions.
Give me the strength to overcome my enemies.
Guide my steps in this difficult task.
Deliver to me the votes I need.
I pray this in the name above all names.

“Barack Obama”

AMEN

Looking at the polls, the wallflower weasel better be praying to a higher power than that particular anointed one.

Harry is praying that he is able to spend enough money to buy enough votes. I have some advice for Dirty Harry, money doesn’t blind people for very long and you have too many skeletons in your closet.

talk about showboating for the religious voters. Reid is a mormon, they don’t pray with their hands like that. At least i’ve never seen my family, my mormon neighbors or even Romney pray that way. they fold their arms and lower their heads while sitting in benches at church (they don’t even kneel or recite the Lords prayer)

Believe me William, there are some of us Mormons who would rather he just fade into the dust from which he sprang….even if we are just sitting and praying, rather than kneeling ;)

Oh I agree, just as I wish a certain UCC’er (or two) would fade away.

I just found it very interesting that he is doing the hands together “traditional” prayer, appealing to the masses as it were, but when you know his background and the culture of the mormon church it is striking.

I’m guessing he was speaking and was trying to place some kind of emphasis on something and put his hands together and a photographer just happened to catch him with his eyes closed. I highly doubt he’s actually praying. If he was, I’m thinking he needs to find new things to pray about.

Now I lay me down to sleep

I pray Obama my healtcare to keep.

But if it fails before I wake,

The GOP I’ll blame for goodenss sake!

For I cannot pass a simple bill, even though I control Capitol Hill.

And when I’m voted out next year, I’m afriad all of PD will cheer.

But in the end I cannot lie, Nancy Pelosi makes me cry.

Do you hear be oh great Barak? My little bill has gone ker-plop!

It was a moment of temporary lucidity between the sick husband and teething baby, but I did have you in mind. I’m thinking of putting on greeting cards this year….

I thought it as bad as possible…
