“We’re going to speak truth to power”

President Obama’s senior adviser Valerie Jarrett told CNN’s Campbell Brown:”We’re going to speak truth to power”. What exactly do you think she meant by that?

In context, Jarrett had again bashed FOX News, but retreated once Campbell Brown actually acted like a journalist and asked whether MSNBC was biased as well. See for yourself:

    “We’re going to speak (as much) truth (as is necessary for us) to (remain in) power.”
