The latest Gallup poll of Republicans contains some interesting gems. “Currently, 72% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents have a favorable opinion of Palin, compared with 56% for Romney and 59% for Huckabee.”

In the top selection category Romney still rules:

About one in four Republicans and Republican-leaning independents make Mitt Romney their top choice for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, giving him a slight edge over Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is the choice of 14% of Republicans, with much smaller numbers choosing current Govs. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Haley Barbour of Mississippi.

She still trails Romney regarding who Republicans would like to see at the top of the ticket. But in the post “I quit” Palin chapter, a 72% is nothing to laugh at.

Let me stand with the several who note that we generally like her, respect her and appreciate her philosophy and efforts, but might not believe she should be president.

I am still pissed about the 150,000 in clothing gaff. That was embarrassing to us and unforgiveable.

But she scored 33% from Republicans who were asked if she was ready to be President.

Liking her and voting for her are two very different things.

Yikes, I sounded like Brian in that post.

    Going to shower now.

    ;)

See. You’r coming around, David. Some eggs are harder to crack.

Don’t forget to get behind the ears.

Orrr…… I am starting to sound like, Kaiser? I might need a shower also.

I’m still keeping the faith in the ol’ gal. We’ll see how she weathers this next chapter.

Likeability and electability are two different things.

Although, being liked helps achieve the latter.

      Exhibit A – Barack Obama

Somewhat surprising and somewhat not surprising. I think most of us expect anyone who resigns to be finished, but I think people are looking for someone who goes against the grain. Shes still in it, though whether she can contend or not remains to be seen.
