It’s not quite what it sounds like, but apparently Soon-to-be-ex-governor Sarah Palin is willing to campaign with Democrats who fit with her platform, and I don’t mean the shoes:

The former Republican vice presidential nominee said she plans to write a book, campaign for political candidates from coast to coast – even Democrats who share her views on limited government, national defense and energy independence – and build a right-of-center coalition.

“I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation,” she said during an interview published Sunday in The Washington Times.

The only problem with Palin’s seemingly non-partisan offer is the fact that Democrats who share are views are about as common as a Sasquatch.

But maybe, just maybe, somewhere in the wilds of Alaska, such a creature does exist?

While I will agree with you on the Sasquatch analogy, I see Sarah’s point. I think she is above the partisiam rhetoric. I know there are some Blue-dog Dems out there who are more conservative than many Republicans…so why should the donkey or elephant matter?

Is Obama the only one allowed to be “bi-partisan” and “principled above the fray of petty partisan bickering”? It’s a very populist suggestion…

Sorry, I’d write more, but a huge bear-like creature just ran through my backyard. Out here in the wilds of PA, it might just be my neighbor…or it may not.

Can anyone real tell me that you were impressed by her exit speech? You can’t real believe that she is the only person that can win in 2012. You know, if she can’t take a joke, don’t get in the game, its politics, they all get kicked around. Let me paint you a picture, in my opinion, for the last eight years where the mantra was no regulation and no oversight and spread to all federal agencies and the justice department was filled by unqualified religious types and the dullard (ex-drunk) religious president started two wars of choice with extreme tax dollar spending, is anyone surprised with our current economic situation because of those choices. Sure “W” sucker the religious right to vote for him and that’s why he placed unqualified people in positions of responsibility and they failed (almost a “plan to fail”), do you forget Katrina, where the Director of FEMA Michael D. Brown, was relieved of his duties because of incompetence? Or can you forget disgraced White House correspondent James Guckert, AKA Jeff Gannon, the male escort, why was a male escort getting into the Whitehouse, hmmm? I know it was Barney Frank’s fault, he controls the county and republicans had their hands tied (even though 7 of the last 8 years they had the majority and the presidency to do something (fact or fiction?), but not the will to act). Oh, by the way I read that God blog, very funny, it reminds me of those TV evangelists who claim the talk to God and want so and so foreign country leader to be killed or such and such a us state to be punished by God for a court ruling that intelligent design is just another word for religion. We had enough of religious dullards in our government. If you believe that the USA has strayed from God then go out to your communities and preach to your neighbors, the sick, the shut ins, the poor and invite them to take part in your church, build a community. But I know that’s hard work we want a government official to do that for us, well they tried that and look where it left us, in the gutter, but our country does not quit and we will rise again. Do you remember how Ronald Reagan got us out of a recession? By spending and we will do the same. But she is just another “W” in heels and she is stringing the religious right along, she will sell you her books, her radio/TV shows and speaking engagements. Lastly, I do not want you to believe what I believe, so please keep writing, feel free, I am starting to enjoy this.

If a commenter vomits on their keyboard and no sycophants are around to applaud, did they really type anything at all?

Paul lets remember though, RR got us out of a recession by spending on defense, something that is acutally Constitutional. Last time I checked paying for people to live in FEMA trailors 4 years post Katrina is enabling, not to mention a waste of money. If Obama was really serious about fixing the econonmy the ENTIRE stimuls would have been spent by now, not like it is currently set up to be spent in 2010-11.

And just so you know, this ‘religous nut job’ was plenty pissed at GWB most of the time, but for me the alternatives were much worse.

Among my most cherished fantasies is that a “Common Sense Party” or a “Middle Class Party” would arise to rescue people like me from having to choose between Republicans and Democrats. I find, on a personal level, that I have much more in common with some blue-collars I know than with some blue-hairs from the country club.

If Palin is thinking of campaigning for Democrats, maybe she has a long range goal of building such a coalition. Noble and commendable in thought, but me thinks impossible in reality.

In my heart of hearts, however, me thinks it is about money and fun. Sarah wants to be paid as a speaker and as an author, she has had a taste of the rubber chicken circuit and it is surely more exciting than staying home with her brood in a snowbank in that faraway corner of the planet. Yes, women do get middle-aged crazy, too, and this is probably just her version of a hair piece and a small red sportster – plus, with a profit!

Let’s move on and let Sarah be Sarah while we get focused on 10.

Few might read, at this point, but I must put into the record for my friend Alaina and other Texans, Sarah is coming down to campaign for our big-spending, TTC-toting, empty-headed worthless governor, L’il Ricky Perry. At the Perry website, there is a July 8 article which says so. rickperry.org if you want to read it, but it is a waste of time and space. But, it do tell us the kind of doo-fusses Sarah likes to campaign for. Sarah, yo mamma told you better than this, child!!!! You be judged by the company you be hangin wif.
