Just to clarify, I wrote that immunizations are a public good, meaning they are available to all who want them.

I support parents’ rights to think they “know more than doctors”.

Actually, a lot of parents won’t let their kids get immunizations these days because they think they cause autism.

Just to make sure everyone is aware of my feelings on that, it’s completely ridiculous and unfounded, but you have a unch of liberal parents who think they know more than doctors.

There was actually a measles outbreak here last year. A bunch of kids got it who weren’t immunized. No shocker that it started in California.

Medicaid and SCHIP don’t work for you? SCHIP only covers children until they are 30!

What is it about children that determines they need health insurance? The cost of medicine increases exponentially with age. Most children do not need much healthcare, especially since our country has determined that immunizations are a public good.

Socialized medicine does not work, just look at Europe for all the proof you need of that, but we absolutely need to do something for children without health care.

Something, anything, even if the benefits run out at the age of 18 or when you graduate college.
