Since when do mothers have time to play around on My Space, let alone set up a fake profile as a thirteen-year-boy? A New York Times article paints the picture most of us are having trouble imagining. Lori Drew must have thought she found the ultimate expression of parental involvement through My Space. Apparently, a business associate helped her set up the account. Did they do that on company time?

Drew is the epitome of a Super Mom. She managed to juggle work, her daughter’s social life and even a third identity as a teenage boy. Maybe she was just a bit confused trying to live vicariously through her daughter in a roundabout way. If the teen years are a time for “finding yourself”, let’s hope Drew gets plenty of jail time to figure out who she really is.
