Eddio, I think you lost the context here. As you might remember Mrs.Rustyshackleford in a post a view days before proposed, that Obama might have been sent by some strange powers behind the scene - which appears excentric somehow to say the least. Now she wonders, why at all he wanted to become president. This is what I answered to. Another hint about Obama'S agenada might be the website Jason put attention to a few weeks before: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/

Regarding critizism: its your right and maybe even your duty to oppose politics you don't agree with. But comparing the campaigns against Bush and Obama you should take into account, that Bush did not win in 2000, which makes quite a difference. I can spaek only for myself and not for my "leftiest buddies", as you like to put it. But to me it was way easier to accept the election's outcome of 2004 as Bush obviously indeed won with a considerable margin (putting apart the storys of 140% participation in some Ohio-precincts etc.).

GO - I find it greatly amusing that you can conclude that people like Mrs Rusty are extreme, unstable, or just plain off their rocker. Here is someone trying to attempt to wrap their heads around the speed of all these bills and actions, trying to understand the motivation behind them. I give her credit for asking the Q.

Allow me to contrast that with the nasty vitriol spewed forth from the left blogosphere during the Bush years from the get go in 2000. They frothed at the mouth (and keyboard) like rabid dogs in an epileptic fit - and none of it in an "understanding building" kind of way. It was caustic venom reminiscent of a junior high school girl cat fight without teachers present.

I truly cannot believe that you cannot understand the emotion she may be feeling and questions she may be asking in light of the poor behaviors on display from the left over the last decade.

At least our protests are ones the kids and whole family can come out to, instead of the violent, destructive, deviant-behavior inducing ones that your leftist buddies put on for years when dissent was actually considered "patriotic" instead of treasonous by that idiot Janet Napolitano.

Well Mrs. Rustyshackleford, if, like in the post you address to you imply, that Obama was sent by some dark powers, then indeed you feed the impression that watched Star Wars a bit too often.

If you really wonder, why he applied for the office, it may help too re-watch his first speech to both chambers of congress a few weeks before. I feel, there he quite clearly outlined the basic positions of his agenda. You might agree or disagree, like it or not, but thats democracy. Plain and simple, sometimes a guy from the other party holds the rudder.

As to me, I like the most things he has done so far. I'm not too sure about the stimulus bill, I raised my eyebrows more then once when it comes to the process of appointing his staff. But I can't see any action to destroy or weaken the USA (beyond the point, which reflects the changing realities), far from it. Quite contrary, I think his foreign policy will strengthen Americas safety.

The only thing I can think of is A--he is just a good looking pawn for the power brokers of the back halls and smoky rooms to controll or B--It's just the next thing he needed on his resume, or it was the next thing to check off on his to do list.

He really is begining excell at beiing the post turtle Alaina wrote about so many months ago!

At the risk of being called a nut conspiracy theorist by some that come on here from other countries, I have one question that just keeps annoying me. It may be naive and too simple minded, but I believe it goes along with accomplishments (HA HA note the tongue and cheek for those that don't always get the written sarcasm. Here it is..... Why did he even want to be president? Usually by the 100 day mark we get it. All I can see is he wants to destroy America, not preserve and make it stronger. This is going to be his last job. He's young. Too young to just retire. Hopefully he'll not get re-elected. He had no political process that showed his dream and aspiration of becoming president. Just asking cause it is getting hard to find an answer or sense of it all.

Arrogant, inept bosses elevated to the highest level with no training and lack of knowledge to do the job,can rarely earn the respect and wind up being somebody to be proud of. After the last two trips abroad, I'm afraid we have that boss.

"I don’t know about you, but since his inauguration nearly 100 days ago (with the possible exception of about fifteen seconds on Easter Sunday) I have yet to be proud of my president."

You obviously haven't seen the cute dog he picked out, the nice swing set at the whitehouse, or seen the veggie garden that is growing at our Presiden'ts home.

Try keeping up with news will ya, Cord.
