In another example of the economic silliness that exists within our nation during the age of Obama, UConn head coach Jim Calhoun was questioned by a lightweight reporter about his current salary of $1.6 million.

And the reporter brings in how much for his employer? I thought so.. Good job Coach.

The Socialists are coming! The Socialists are coming! Prepare yourselves!

Roughly speaking, Jim makes 10% of his income to the Univ. If all the “hands out” CEO’s on the Gov’t. teat were paid accordingly, we might not be in as big a mess as we are in.

Could you please clarify what you mean when you say, “Jim makes 10% of his income to the Univ,” because I can interpret about 3 different ways.

I believe he stated he brings in 12 mil to the Univ. with his program and makes approx. 1.2 or so mil.

In that case, sounds like UConn is getting a good return on investment from that 1.2 million. That’s the way it should be.

Reporter and Political Activist. That’s pretty much all there is out there nowadays. Not just the news and the facts anymore, it’s served up with a heaping pile of anger and agenda.

Jim’s salary is clearly not just about how well he does his job, its also the industry. Sports are insulated from the recession right now, rake in ridiculous dollars and rely on popular figures (see: Manny Ramirez-Dodgers negotiations and Super Bowl attendance).

That reporter is not just implying Jim makes too much because he is a state employee. He’s implying he makes too much for ‘just’ coaching basketball. I’m sure if Jim was one of the most successful state-level community organizers in the country, this guy would have no problem with his salary.

WHO DO THESE LIBERALS THINK THEY ARE TO JUDGE YOUR PROFESSION?
I don’t care that A-Rod makes around $80,000 a game. I don’t care that the American Idol judges are paid gazillions. Bringing them down won’t help me, or you, or anybody.

What we’re seeing, gang, is a generation of young’uns weened on the self-esteem movement and other socialist ideas now coming to roost as adults. Most of our public schools are filled with this nonsense, while most kids fail basic levels of reading, ‘ritin’, and ‘rithmetic. To me, the NEA (Natl Educators Assoc) is the spawn of Satan by keeping teachers who promote this kind of silly garbage in the classroom.

What percentage of our educators are leftists? That’s the question to ask…

I am one of three non-leftists on my entire campus.

When I go to Social Studies workshops I am usualy the only one who will identify themselves as being against the orthodoxy and propaganda they rant about.

Oh! Coach Calhoun’s players also graduate at an astounding rate as well.

Hurray for someone who does not apologize for making a lot of money! I don’t make a lot of money, but that doesn’t mean that I think everyone else should also not make a lot of money. It comes down to envy and jealousy. If that reporter made $1.6 million he wouldn’t give a hoot what the coach made.
