this is the McCain I once really liked. The fresh, honest guy who will freely say “I screwed up, let’s move on”.
I think he struggled a bit with the Ayers and Liddy thing.
I thought he handled himself well, was honest about messing up (a fresh rare thing among politicians) and handled Dave pretty good - Letterman gets intense, especially when it’s political (cf Bill O=Reilly for an example).
I’d like to see Sarah go on there before Nov 4th. That could be worth a point on election day if she does well.
I can’t wait to see Sarah on SNL tomorrow!
Does this seem weird to anyone else? I’ve watched Letterman for years and loved the show and the goofy humor. But he’s taken on a different tone lately and that makes me lose interest. I know he’s smart and capable, but if I didn’t turn to CBS to watch Nightline. Sticking it to people in interviews doesn’t become him.
The same thought struck me. I’ve watched Dave for years, and he typically handles his guests with respect. His aggressive treatment of McCain seemed unusual for him.
He totally has a left-wing agenda. Many clips of his are right-wing bashing in one form or another.
Me too. I’ve always like Letterman, but I’ve pretty much stopped watching him because he’s become too political. It’s one thing to make fun of the candidates, but he’s taken it too far too often over the last year or so.
Latest story on Fox says that statistically, guys like Letterman are ripping R’s 7-1 vs. Dems.
One more massively biased arena.
