I don’t know about you but I have less money today than I did yesterday, and yes it hurts, but it won’t be the end of me and my house. I’m sure we have some left over cans of beenie-weeines under the bed in the spare room and we’ll just pinch a little here, and scrimp a little there. This is what Americans have always done in a crisis. It’s what we’ll do.

However, imagine my surprise today when supping on my Life cereal and hearing the news that our good friend and political candidate Barak “Barry” Obama, who fashions himself a true man of the people, would be attending a $28,500 a plate dinner sponsored by none other than Barbara Streisand. I don’t know about you, but $28,500 is an awful lot of money for rubbery chicken and stale bread. In fact, that’s just about as much as I made the first year I was a public school teacher. It also seems a bit ironic that Barry is off to wine and dine with the left-coast elite when so many are feeling the pinch of economic chaos today. I think this just proves how much he really cares, about all Americans. I do hope Barry and Babs have a nice time, and I hope that they will be serving these. I hear they are delicious!
