I didn’t, but I buy it as far as NBC goes. I can’t make the leap to say that all networks that did it, did it on purpose.

Yeah, I don’t really see it as a McCain attack, either.

However, I do think some folks decided to do as little as possible for the President. I honestly thought it was lousy broadcast production and not very professional.

I absolutely believe that they did it to try and make the GOP look bad.

Also, while Fred Thompson was speaking, I randomly switched channels. The networks and cable news were all showing him speak without interruption, except for NBC.
NBC had a commentator discussing controversies that they are trying to create with Gov. Palin. I was dumbfounded. Did anyone else notice this? Did I just catch NBC at the wrong moment?

I think there may be some of it, but I also hesitate to jump on every piece of perceived bias as actual, planned “let’s screw McCain”.

It kind of reminds me of the shameless editing of the footage from Hillary’s appearance at the Concert for New York City (took place a month or so after 9/11).

In reality, she walked on stage to a chorus of the Bronx Cheer (very loud boos). When the DVD came out, the sound editors had replaced the boos with cheers.

A year ago, I would have said there was nothing intentional here, just some media/tech reason for playing the feed only. Today, I am not so sure. But the motive doesn’t even really matter. Intentional or not this adds to the ever growing pile of evidence of media influence which cheers for one political view over another.
