The minutes tick by, and there is still no text, no email and no announcement of who just might be Barack Obama’s running mate.

But going onto the main page at Drudge, there at the top above the headline “Obama prepares to name running mate” is a black and white photo of Joe Biden with Obama over his shoulder.

As quickly as Drudge’s front page changes, it could just be a coinkydink.

Or could it?

Bumper Sticker Could Indicate Bayh Is Obama’s Veep

I agree 100%. So far they’ve been masterful at managing this, but anything on a Friday afternoon is a nightmare. It’s the cardinal rule. Bury bad news on Friday afternoons. This is so odd I wonder if there’s been a problem. Someone say no unexpectedly?

There is now no point in announcing today. Wait until tomorrow and announce moments before he takes the stage.

      “Someone say no unexpectedly?”
If that someone is Evan Bayh, as on Drudge, it’s too bad they printed all those bumper stickers.

This is a mistake by the Obama campaign. Announce today or risk a let down. It’s reminicient of Fred Thompson’s July 4 non-announcement.
