Think about it. Despite having some baggage from Iraq (only about 25% baggage though. And 75% of CP is better than 100% of nearly everybody else)Powell solves Obam’s so called inexperience issue, puts McCain on the complete offensive, brings thousands of moderate Republicans to the table–and tens of thousands of independents, answers the 3Am phone call question, further energizes the African American community, makes BUsh and Cheney think twice about what they say regarding the election (CP knows where the bodies are buried), pleases the Council on Foreign Relations and David Rockefeller, Wall Street and Main Street, along with moderate whites…and so much more.

Can you imagine team McCain launching an attack ad on foreigh policy against an Obama/Powell ticket?

Despite his occasional diarrhea of the mouth, in his short-lived campaign, he proved to be a smart debater, good on the stump and you can see him as a natural fit in the attack dog role that many VP candidates fill during the general election.
