Novak mistakes pedestrian for PD contributor; cited by Metro Police
Posted on July 23rd, 2008 at 11:34 am by Stephen Fountain, EditorUnder a recent post regarding Novak being used and abused by the McCain camp, PD editor Jason Wright suggested I adopt some increased personal security measures out of fear that I might incur the wrath of “Prince of Darkness” columnist Robert Novak.

It appears that may have been a wise suggestion.
Syndicated columnist Robert D. Novak was cited by police after he hit a pedestrian with his black Corvette in downtown Washington, D.C., Wednesday morning. A Politico reporter saw Novak in the front of a police car with a citation in his hand; a WJLA-TV crew and reporter saw Novak as well. The pedestrian, a male in his 60s, was hospitalized at George Washington University Hospital with minor injuries according to the Metro Fire Department. Novak was later released by police and drove away from the scene.
“I didn’t know I hit him,” Novak told Politico. Novak said he was a block away from 18th and K St. NW, where the accident happened, when a bicyclist stopped him and said, “You hit someone.” He said he was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

Run Stephen. Run quickly.
Got to love it that Novak, aka ‘The Prince of Darkness,’ drives a black Vette. Priceless.
finally some excitement at PD
You mean other than the daily treatment of Patrick as a pinata?
Robert Novak drives a black Corvette…
I drive a green mini-van…
Sigh……
How could you not know you hit someone when they were “splayed into the windshield”? Maybe Novak is auditioning to drive Obama’s bus.
