Aghast is not a word I use frequently, but that’s how Hillary Clinton’s recent justification to stay in the race left me.

By now you’ve all heard the quote about Bobby Kennedy’s June, 1968 assassination. That she articulated a fear that has passed through many minds is bad enough.

Her failure to comprehend the horror of her statement is enough to send me flying off toward Obama, even if I weren’t already there.

Frankly, I’ve wondered recently if Clinton weren’t a better candidate than her opponent. But this oh-so-much-more-than-a-faux pas resolves that quandry. Anyone who can’t realize that she broke one of America’s greatest taboos (see Libby Copeland in today’s Post) should not serve in the Oval Office.
