The name Kennedy invokes a lot of emotions in American politics, some good, some bad. But among Democrats, some would say the expected endorsement of Barack Obama by Senator Ted Kennedy is second only to an endorsement by Bill Clinton.

On top of this, the daughter of former president John F. Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, penned an opinion piece in the New York Times in support of Obama. Here is her closing argument:

I have never had a president who inspired me the way people tell me that my father inspired them. But for the first time, I believe I have found the man who could be that president — not just for me, but for a new generation of Americans.
