Colleague Ethan Boivie was dead-on about Mike Huckabee’s utterings on homosexuality coming back to bite him. Now they’re coming back to bite Rudy Giuliani, too.

This morning on “Meet the Press,” Tim Russert reminded Rudy of Huckabee’s remarks and asked if he (Rudy) agreed.

Of course not, Rudy said. He then referred to Catholic Church teachings as the basis for his feelings. It’s not the homosexual or heterosexual orientation that’s wrong. “It’s the acts they perform that are sinful,” he said. In other words, just like the military, “Don’t ask, don’t tell.” But in this case, it’s “Go ahead and tell, just don’t be gay in the bedroom.”

Where, of course, IT IS DEFINED! How can someone live as a genuine, true-to-oneself homosexual and not “perform” homosexual acts?

Obviously I’m not suggesting he’s gay, but Rudy sure is telling us to “Do as I say, not as I do.” Again.
