Control spending is higher than legal, ethical, and moral scandals? That’s interesting. Because that was a reason for many voters.Does that
show a higher tolerance of scandal and sin that
    the public?
Unless both parties start cleaning up and being accountable, neither party may be around in the future.
Does any poll even mention Afghanistan
    any more?

“So, really, I think Republicans lost control of Congress because of Iraq since that is why so many Democrats went out and voted.”

The irony is that Dems will continue the war too.

    Vote Ron Paul.

I think that people are incorrectly recalling the 2006 elections. In my recollection there was a strong motivation by Democratic voters because of Iraq. There was a lack of motivation among the Republican voters because of the many issues (like those listed in the poll) and nothing to motivate them, such as “ban gay marriage” referendums on the ballot.

So, really, I think Republicans lost control of Congress because of Iraq since that is why so many Democrats went out and voted.

I think the question was worded to cover both the “real” problems that we all agree on and are verifiable, and those that are “perceived” by those biased against the war. (or any war, for that matter) There is a segment of the population that would find problems with the war no matter what was actually happening on the ground.

Republicans are never going to win anything again until they stop referring to “perceived” problems in Iraq, as if it’s all a big misunderstanding.

    Another related stat:

As in Q2, Ron Paul received the most military contributions in Q3, but by an even bigger margin. He raised about $40,000 from the US military, which doubles the #2 and #3 Republican candidates McCain and Thompson (~$20K each).

This sends America a very clear message: Ron Paul’s non-interventionist foreign policy is right. Or do you contend that you know more about what is really going on in Iraq than soldiers? Rush, Hannity, Bush, MoveOn, Hillary, the media etc. say they know more, but they were dead wrong and lied about so many other things.

Face it, the government-controlled media orchestrated a dual-principled system of propaganda to control discussion and created a house of cards that we bought. So what, most people bought it…in fact, nearly everyone bought it to a certain extent. Why wouldn’t we buy it…our lifestyle is amazing…some part of the government did something right. But we all know there is massive corruption in the government…resulting in overtaxation, overspending, illegal and immoral military campaigns, our rights are being stripped from us left and right, our government is letting several million illegal aliens cross over.

And neither party can address this, for both parties are guilty of doing these things. Usually this leaves us with voting for the lesser of two evils. Well, this election we have someone that is a good choice.

It’s time for a correction. It’s time for a dose of strong, integrity.

Take a solid step toward realigning our country back with the original intent of the country. Vote Ron Paul.

It’s not a message to the parties, it’s firing them.

Crush our enemies, see them driven before us, and hear the lamentation of their media.

Just like when Bush and co. hid behind ‘bad intelligence’, I can’t wait to hear the media and politicians say “You can’t blame me for not saying the truth…how should I know…I just said what I was told was true.”

You do know that the vast majority of people who want to bomb Iran are just repeating what they were told was true. They don’t have a freaking clue what REALLY is true.

LOL…think about that. People are willing to go along with murdering millions of innocents more than admit they don’t know what is going on. Worse, they’ll go along with whatever as long as others do. The world is full of children disguised as adults!

Thank you, Jason Wright, for this list
And, for the other one just below.
The information contained confirms I’m still “conservative”. I was doubting it was so.

Bush (Now we know the “W” stands for Worst)
Had said he was a conservative, too.
But, with his open borders, big-spending
And, social gaffs, I wondered if that true…

So, now you’ve reset the “Conservative” label
Back to what it was before Bush 2 or 1,
Problem is, where do we go from here to
Undue all the damage to Conservatism done.
