A death in the Political Derby family
Posted on October 15th, 2007 at 11:06 am by Jason Wright, EditorWe’ve just learned that Mark Coyle, a dear friend to Political Derby, died over the weekend in a car accident in New York. (His young daughter survived but is in serious condition.) Mark did PR from time-to-time for PD and was responsible for helping us land many of our radio interviews over the last year. On a more personal note, Mark also did some PR for both of my recent books. He was a good-hearted man, a great friend, and an outstanding American. He will be sorely missed. Our prayers go out to his family.

Father of daughters, also…
Thanks, Whodat, nice touch.
Sorry to Jason, and everyone who knew him. I hope God gives you the comfort and peace it takes to make it through a loss like this.
Amen to that. My prayers are with Mr. Coyle’s daughter as well as their family and friends.
Jason, my thoughts and prayer are with his family. I am terribly sorry for the loss of your friend.
I was so sad after reading of Mark’s accident in the Charleston Daily Mail today. I worked with Mark at Manahan and Company in Charleston years ago….he was such a good hearted person and always willing to help make any situation, wheather bad or good, better.
He’ll be missed by many I’m sure.God’s love to his daughter and family.

I just read this and am in shock. I just spoke to Mark a week and a half ago. He had told me he had been up in NY with his daughter the previous weekend and mentioned how he would have rather taken the train… My thoughts and prayers are with Mark’s family and his extended family at Creative Response Concepts in Washington. He was a great man and father and will be missed.
Chris, I am so sorry you found out this way. I would have called if I’d known you two knew each other. Mark had such a good heart. He would walk to the ends of the earth for people. His daughter will grow up to be proud of what her dad accomplished and the legacy he left.
I just learned of Mark’s death and am very shocked and saddened. I was a colleague of his years ago in Charleston and spoke to him a couple of months ago after about 10 years.
He seemed happy and so proud of his daughter. He was a good man. My thoughts and prayers to his daughter and family as well as that of the other driver.
