Sanford to endorse Rudy? Not in this lifetime
Posted on October 14th, 2007 by Jason Wright, EditorStephen and I had an opportunity to chat one-on-one with Governor Mark Sanford this evening at CLC. Despite reports to the contrary, the South Carolina governor will not be endorsing anyone until at least January. And when he does, it won’t be Mayor Giuliani.
More on CLC tomorrow.

Jason:
Did the conversation reveal what Governor Sanford is looking for in a candidate and how the people of South Carolina feel about the candidates running so far?
Maybe he will endorse Ron Paul.
Here’s something else you won’t see in this lifetime.
“First Lady” Judith (sic) (Judi) Nathan Giuliani.
Donna Hanover? Maybe.
If it’s true what they say, that behind every good man there’s a good women.
Rudi’s Sunk!
Maybe Sanford should just endorse Hillary.
The reality is, supporting anyone other that Rudy will result in a Hillary landslide.
Anyone who says a Hillary clone like Giuliani can beat Hillary (or be any different than such an ultra-socialist) is dreaming.
Giuliani’s track reocrd is rabidly anti-Second Amendment, militantly pro-abortion and pro-homosexual. He almost makes Hillary look like a right-winger by comparison.
RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT!
So Sanford might as well compromise his principles and endorse someone who doesn’t share his values.
GOP Winning Ticket = Paul/Sanford!!!
I’ve been a fan of Mark Sanford since this: http://www.statehousereport.com/columns/04.0530.pork.htm
I believe he would endorse Ron Paul immediately but for Paul’s opposition to the Iraq war. Maybe Sanford will come around and support Paul anyways. Why sacrifice the Constitution and the rule of law just for Iraq? Have we not sacrificed enough already for that country?
