Alan Keyes: A Violation of the Eleventh Commandment

Posted on October 13th, 2007 at 1:38 am by Stephen Fountain, Editor

Ronald Regan is attributed with establishing the 11th commandment: “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.” Dr. Keyes did an excellent job at violating that commandment tonight at the Conservative Leadership Conference. Dr. Keyes began his discussion this evening by linking the importance of the pro-life movement to the livelihood of the Republican Party and the Constitution itself.

Having established the above point, Keyes went on to “speak ill” of Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, and Fred Thompson. Rudy’s support for abortion and gay rights will drag down the Republican party. Mitt Romney will “hide the truth for the sake of his ambition.” And Fred Thompson? Keyes mentioned the numerous principaled fights and battles he has labored for throughout the years. “Guess who I never saw?” he questioned.

Political Derby floated the buzz about a Keyes run for president back in March of this year. Dr. Keyes spoke with me after his speech about why the decision took so long. He said the reasons were “mostly personal.” His family took a “battering” after his last failed bid for the senate seat in Illinois. It simply took a while for his family to process and prepare for this upcoming battle.

I used to like Alan Keyes but he goes off on wild tangents. His downfall was pointing out Hilary was a carpet bagger for going to New York to run for the Senate, then he did it himself in Illinois. Not someone I would vote for.

Alan Keyes is the Bob Dornan of this election. He likes listening to his own voice. He does have some good points but they get lost in the rest of speech.

Does pro-life mean pro-death-penalty? Or once you are in the world, life isn’t sacred anymore?

Well now, Didn’t Mr. Alan Keyes
Have himself quite a little fit?!
But, now that Reagan isn’t running,
Yah takes what you can get!

Hey Alan, drop the abortion rant!
ABORTION DID NOT STOP under Reagan, either.
It’ll never stop cause WOMEN WANT IT -
No matter who is president, neither.

I’m Christian, too, but enough already
    Of all the sanctimonious pontification;
Accept the things you cannot change
Or, Hillary will be leader of our nation!

    Whodat just sayin’ “forgetaboutit”

I have tried to restrain myself as of late, because I think all my talk of pro-family and pro-life was actually hurting my candidate (Mike Huckabee). But with this I will not remain silent! Babies are being killed, and WhoDat, who I undoubtedly would be friends with in real life, says “forgetaboutit”? I will not forget about it, what a terrible thing to say! How could you become so calloused? If we don’t stop abortion, God will, and you won’t like how he stops it. This has absolutely nothing to do with Mike Huckabee, I’m sure he would never be this confrontational, but I just don’t understand you people.

This is a blog I wrote on another site (I got the statistics from various sources, check them if you want, I cannot vouch 100% for them, but other people obviously thought they were accurate, either way it’s a blog not a newspaper)…

    How Long?

Over 40 million American babies have been murdered without cause since 1973. How long will we remain silent? How long will you remain silent?

Over 30,000 Americans kill themselves every year. How long will we remain silent? How long will you remain silent?

Every hour an American teenager is infected with Aids, and every 10 minutes an American teenanger is infected with an STD. How long will we remain silent? How long will you remain silent?

Half of America’s teens get drunk at least once a month, and one and out of four teens use illegal drugs. How long will we remain silent? How long will you remain silent?

One out of every ten American teens have been raped, and nine out of ten American teens has viewed pornography. How long will we remain silent? How long will you remain silent?

50% of American teens are no longer virgins. One million teens become pregnant every year, and one third of them will kill their baby. How long will we remain silent? How long will you remain silent?

40% of American teens have admitted to intentionally cutting themselves. One out of five teens have thought about taking their own life. 1,500 teens commit suicide every year. How long will we remain silent? How long will you remain silent?

This Generation needs Jesus more than any previous generation. How long will we remain silent? How long will you remain silent?

It’s time to pray. It’s time to love. It’s time to sound the Battle Cry.

(Battle Cry doesn’t mean guns and bombs, Ephesians 6:11-18) For more info go to http://www.BattleCry.com

Have the laws against crack cocain
and Heroin and pot and “speed”
Stopped the sale and use of drugs?
    Oh, contrar; Its increased, indeed!

    How ’bout anti-prostitution laws
How they workin’ round the ol’ USA?
You can even buy little kids for sex,
Or, women, or men anywhere, any day!

    Laws against tax fraud? Stealing?
How ’bout our laws on crooked pols?
The only laws that always count
Are of “Supply and Demand”, y’all.

    So, abortion survived Reagan and
Bush 1 and now survived Bush 2.
Like Democrats always lie to Blacks
    “Conservatives” just lie to you!

    Nobody can really stop abortion;
    Hey where there’s DEMAND, there is SUPPLY;
Pass a law against it and girls go butcher,
Or foreign, by land, by sea or sky.

Childless USA couples spend $30K or more
To “adopt” some Russian or foreign kid…
Why can’t they pay a USA girl in trouble,
$15K for her unwanted child, instead?

Oh no, our laws don’t let that happen!
We make adoption an impossible nightmare,
So, our women with no alternatives or money
Take the only real option that is there.

Whodat say LAWS will never stop abortion

Can we now all agree that life is precious, and that we should defend those who can’t defend themselves?

I got some good video of Alan Keyes at the CLC07 conference. You can see it by entering the normal YouTube domain followed by “/watch?v=f7W7s5Vg9wc”
