The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll shows New York Senator Hillary Clinton still on top in the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination. Today’s update shows Clinton with 37% of the vote followed by Illinois Senator Barack Obama at 25%. Those figures are unchanged from yesterday. Former North Carolina Senator John Edwards is up a point today but remains in a distant third place with 14% support. Delaware Senator Joe Biden is at 3%. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and Dennis Kucinich each attract 2% of the vote.

In the race for the Republican Presidential nomination, it’s former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson at 24%, Rudy Giuliani at 22%, Mitt Romney at 14% and John McCain at 12%. Thompson, Romney, and McCain have each ticked up a point since yesterday. Mike Huckabee is favored by 3% and five other candidates split 7% of the vote. The key question in this race is whether or not Thompson can last once he formally announces his candidacy.
