Fred Thompson charms the ladies - even his exes
Posted on June 25th, 2007 at 4:18 pm by Contributor ArchiveFred Thompson, who is keeping the worst kept secret about his intentions to seek the Republican nomination, apparently won’t need to remain hush-hush about his numerous past romances. Thompson, who has a reputation as quite the charmer, has had a string of exes come out to say how wonderful he is, and that they respect him and support his run at the presidency.
Country singer Lorrie Morgan “couldn’t think of a bad word to say” about Fred, claiming he is a “perfect example of chivalry”. Another ex, GOP fundraiser Georgette Mosbacher, claims Thompson’s abilities to charm both traditional and professional women will allow him to beat Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head matchup. Even Thompson’s ex-wife, Sarah Kresnick, is intending to campaign for him.
Ex-girlfriends, wives and significant others falling over themselves to sing Fred Thompson’s praises? If nothing else, it is quite the turn around from all the hidden and politically spun stories of the Bill Clinton affairs.

Fred is just what the GOP needs, a another good old boy from the south to remind the public of Bush.
Yup, this sounds like a recipe for success.
Do you think Fred will get more than 28% of the vote?
Liberals are running scared that he is running. Fred is the one canidate who is pulling the party back together. He will pull in indpendents and Reagan Democrats and that spells a win in ‘08.
In looking at this logically, I believe that Fred Thompson is the flavor of the month…or even the next few months, and that his rise in any poll is temporary and short-lived. Don’t get me wrong - I LIKE Fred Thompson! He’s one of the best politicians I’ve seen, and I have a deep respect and admiration towards him.
However, as one researches his two-term record in Congress, his stand on abortion, his support of Liberal Democratic issues - a lot of negatives unfold, not to mention his age.
Republicans NEED to nominate a strong, physically healthy candidate that can be a two-term president! As everyone knows, just a first term alone in office can age a president by a thousand years due to all the stress…give or take a few centuries (LOL). That definitely rules out both McCain and Thompson.
While I do not care for McCain, and definitely will not support Giuliani - the only two men that would ever get my vote is Romney first, Fred Thompson a strong second! Actually, I think that the best ticket is Romney / F. Thompson for 2008!
Jacosta supports Romney? What a newsflash
Troy La Mana, apparently you have not seen the polls. Not only does Fred lose all of the Blue states, but he will have a tough time keeping many of the Red swing states like Ohio.
Fred will give a Hillary a landslide victory.
